Washington Small Group Filing Successfully Submitted

Last month, Premera Blue Cross and Premera Blue Cross HMO successfully submitted the 2025 Washington Small Group filing with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC).

The filing proposes an overall premium increase for the Premera Blue Cross plans of 8.95% and the Premera Blue Cross HMO plans of 7.89%.

The filing also includes a change to the commission schedule moving from percent of premium to per employee per month (PEPM) basis. This change is consistent with compensation in the market and will help to keep premiums competitive for our small group employers.
