Helping members make the most of their HMO plan

We hope March is off to a great start so far. Soon, we will email members to highlight important features and programs in their Premera Blue Cross HMO (PBC HMO) plan. The message will spotlight some of our favorite features including Matchmaker™ for Behavioral Health and our consumer advisory council, where members can share feedback and shape the future of PBC HMO.

Members will also receive a helpful guide in the mail about three months after they enroll—we call it “Stick it to the Fridge.” This mailer is designed to provide them with helpful resources that they can use throughout their plan year, and we encourage them to keep it handy for easy reference. It comes with a wallet-sized card that can help them navigate referrals and direct care while on the go.

We’ve also created a new resource that members and their employers can watch to better understand their PBC HMO health plan. HMO 101: Your Health Plan and You follows Steve the Janitor as he walks members through the three major parts of their health plan: the HMO Plus Team, the healthcare fastpass, and their care team.
